During my over 40 years occupation as a Dentist at the clinic and out-patients’ clinic for Mouth, Jaw and Face Surgery at the University Hospital in Dresden, the number of patients with unclear, partly very strong and persistent pains at the jaw-face-neck area has been very high. There have also been mentioned difficulties at opening the mouth and reduction of the chewing function very often.

It is now more than 5 years since I took the chance to obtain an individual mouthpiece for my regulator (Poseidon) from the company Secudive, because I was experiencing considerable problems with my mandibular joint, especially diving in cold water, but also in longer dives in warm water, this being caused by the standardised mouthpiece on which I had to keep biting.
